Tenby Trivia

County
Pembrokeshire
Population:
5000
Known For:
Tourism, Quaint Old Town, Harbour, Lifeboat Station

Where is Tenby?
Act One: Saturday
Scene 1
They pick up the car from the car hire place in Nottingham. MARK overhears a customer returning his car saying how it was a "bag of bo***cks" and laughs at his misfortune-then finds out the car that they have been given is the same one!
(GV of MARK driving it away somewhat disconcerted..)

Scene 2
The Arrow Group set off, only to discover many faults on the car.
(MCU of one headlight working, no brakes on left hand side, indicator stalk broke etc)
They arrive at TENBY at 6 o'clock in the morning, and set up camp. The campsite reception is closed so they go for a walk on the beach nearby.
(CUT TO shots of scenery, stuff being thrown in the sea i.e. rocks and things…)
They return to reception and book:
(GV of scene) WOMAN AT RECEPTION: "If you would like to pitch your tent, somewhere over there."
CHRIS: "Is it somewhere where we've just pitched?"
The group laugh in appreciation of the irony!

Scene 3
(PAN of car as they travel to Tenby.
The Arrow Group have a look round the town, and go to a café to stuff their faces.
(CU of sausages, eggs, tomatoes, fried bread)
and then go on the beach. An hour of this then it's time to go to the local aquarium.
(a lot of GV'S and CU of various fish, along with PANS of the aquarium itself and the Arrow Group walking aimlessly about)
The evening is spent at the pub, where they might have just over-indulged.
(MCU shot of projectile vomit-it contains carrots-which is odd because MARK did not eat carrots that day.)

Act Two: Sunday
Scene 1
Mark and Chris go to pay the rent for the tent.
(GV of campsite owner talking to Chris)
CHRIS: "We'd like to pay for our tent, please."
OWNER: "Tent?"
Owner seems unaware of the meaning of the word 'tent'
CHRIS: "Yes, tent."
OWNER: "(After some thought) Oh, right. Is it the blue and green one?"
MARK: "No, it's the red and brown one with lots of mould on it."
OWNER laughs appreciatively, not really believing that there really IS mould on the tent..

Scene 2
The whole ensemble travel to a theme park called OAKWOOD PARK and engage in various theme park activities.
(Many shots of the Group in action-Mark, Mike and Chris on the water slide, Mark, Mike and Chris on a children's slide, Mark,Mike and Chris on a roller coaster Mark, Mike and Chris on the go-karts. In a juxtaposition we see a CU of STUART sitting down scorning the others and moaning generally.)

Scene 3
In the evening a trip was taken to SAUNDERSFOOT to wind down after the days frenetic activities. After much drinking the Arrow Group start to walk back to the campsite-along a cliff ledge! No-one knows how they avoided falling over the edge as it was pitch black and they were very drunk. For some reason they left the footpath and stumbled through woodland, ending up on a country road on which a taxi just happened to be coming along. Very fortunate.. so it was back to the tent and to bed.
(more CU shots of vomit.Mixed well with the mould on the tent)

Act Three: Monday
Scene 1
The facilities at the campsite were tested that morning, and the Arrow group were impressed at the state of disrepair.
(Many PANS shot around the dilapidated sink and half-built toilet, CLOSE UP on the overflowing tap and ECU on the resident spider in the wash basin.)
It was of to Pembroke castle next, with plenty of time to look at the ancient history of the place, with plenty of opportunity to mill about in true Arrow fashion.
(Various WHIP PANS of the scenic castle area taking care not to get the oil refinery on camera, or the muddy harbour with shopping trolleys and old tyres lying therein, or of the boarded up shops and scruffy streets of Pembroke Dock. CU of the Group on top of a turret. Plenty of milling about shots.)

Scene 2
It was time to leave Wales in the afternoon to make their way home, stopping off at the obligatory Little Chef Roadside restaurant for some nosh and a moan at the prices.
(A SIDE VIEW of Chris driving at 100 mph. Final shot of car bursting into flames due to engine overheating. Or was it because there were no brake shoes, or steering wheel-or indeed engine?)

(That's a wrap. Cut!)
